He did it again (God not Bush). He gave us some money right before we needed it. In some ways, it's kinda funny as He has done this to us multitude times.
We never cease to be amazed by His forethought and kindness…. Wow!! 
Here's the story:
Last week we received our Federal Economic Stimulus Package check. Looking around we realized that we better put our truck in the shop as it wasn't idling very good and had bad brakes. Being a good steward, I dropped it off at the shop this morning – thinking that it shouldn't cost that much….
Well… I was wrong…. 
It seems that there is a huge vacuum leak above the engine intake value. Meaning that they have to take off the top half of the engine and replace the gasket.
Then there's the power steering pump – apparently there was some metal floating around in the fluid. I believe we all can say that have metal pieces floating around in anything is bad… 
[@more@]Well, in this case, it means that our power steering pump is dead. Seeing how all roads leaving our house either winds around a river or over a mountain….. well, lets say that being able to steer is a good thing.
Oh – the brakes. I almost forget the main thing that we put it in for… well, the good news is that the front rotors didn't need replacement…
All in all, the total cost of all the repairs comes out to $40 less then the governments check (not counting taxes – the government gives and the government takes).
Reminds me of an old joke about a lady who was broke and prayed to the Lord for some food. Her neighbor, an confused atheist, heard her prayer and thought that he could prove to the lady that God didn't exist.
In that mindset, he went to the story and bought a bunch of food and gave it to the lady. Her first response was to praise the Lord, to which the atheist cried out saying that it wasn't God who brought her food, but him. Not to be disturbed the lady response:
"Not only did God provide the food, but He had the devil pick up the tab!!"
